Sorry, sorry. LJ implementing flawed Facebook/Twitter integration and the current downtime is all my fault!
I decided to drop money on it for a paid-only feature, you see. I even thought to myself, "I bet if I do this it'll do something to annoy me the next day... nah." But sure enough, less than six hours later the new checkboxes appeared on the Update Journal page.
